Dua for Fasting
During the month of Ramadan, Muslims fast from dawn until sunset, refraining from eating and drinking, while striving to improve themselves for the sake of Allah (SWT). There are various duas for fasting which are recited during this month.
Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:
“There are three whose duas are not rejected: a just ruler, the fasting person when he breaks his fast and the prayer of the oppressed person.”
(Al Tirmidhi)
Fasting during Ramadan is centered on your intention. Reciting duas (prayers) before beginning, and opening or breaking your fast is a way to create sincere intention. While fasting, it is also important to seek forgiveness, protection from the hellfire, strive to preserve the integrity of your fast.
