The believer’s shade on the Day of Resurrection will be their Sadaqah.
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)
Sadaqah is a voluntary charity that fills our life with blessing. Giving to those most in need multiplies our reward and increases our wealth.
The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) described it as a proof of faith.
Your sadaqah and Zakat makes an incredible difference in the world through fair trade livelihood, food security and nutrition, water and sanitation, medical and health services, and access to education. It empowers the poor and ensures better quality of life for all.
“Who will lend Allah a good loan so that he can increase it many times?” (Quran 2:245)
A continuing charity – sadaqah jariya – is one of the most valuable acts we can do in this life, which continues benefiting us in the afterlife. When the effect of just one donation is multiplied to help family after family, earning livelihoods for years to come, this is a form of sadaqah jariya, or ongoing charity. The Quran describes the reward of spending in charity as “a grain of corn which grows seven ears, and each ear has a hundred grains” (2:261).
Give on behalf of others too, and the reward will outlive them.
